LIGHT Microfinance, Inc. held its 2024 General Assembly, uniting all LIGHT branches nationwide through the power of digital connectivity, on March 22, 2024.
With a spirit-filled prayer and worship experience, Perry Paz, NFSG Director, led all LIGHT MFI staff into the assembly, exemplifying God’s goodness and faithfulness through singing song of praises.
The event commenced with Among Eddie Panlilio, Chairman, gracing all LIGHT staff with his profound reflection on Isaiah 42:1-7, inspiring everyone with his timeless wisdom and spiritual insights. He added, “If you’re struggling right now, feeling defeated, it means your story isn’t over yet.”
In her opening remarks, Concepcion P. Diana, Executive Director, highlighted the significance of the journey ahead, establishing a solid foundation for positive communication and cooperative efforts within the organization. “As we look back, may we all be empowered to be part of the solution in making our vision and mission felt and realized among us and our Partner-Clients,” she stated.
The first topic, presented in an Audio-Visual Presentation, featured the Glimpse and Highlights of 2023, alongside an analysis of the 2023 Operational and Financial Performance of LIGHT MFI. The following workshop provided a platform for introspection, engaging the participants in thoughtful reflection, and contemplating their contributions towards realizing the organizational goals for 2023. This session underscored the importance of personal accountability and collective effort in driving sustainable growth and success.
In the second topic, attendees were presented with the 2024 Organizational Business Plan through an Executive Summary Audio-Visual Presentation, wherein Girlie M. Tering-Tering, OIC Operations Group, discussed the Organizational Business Plans (Operations), and Greggy C. Canja, Finance and Accounting Manager, in terms of Financial, both outlining the strategic roadmap for the year ahead.
Noel B. Alipio, President, challenged all staff to push beyond their limits, igniting active discussions among participants. His stimulating discussion served as a call for personal growth and organizational excellence. “Facing uncertainties and discomfort can unlock our potential. Sometimes, we feel confined by our doubts, believing we can never do it. But going beyond our limits reveals our abilities. So, let’s explore our potential and do something,” he said.
With the post-lunch session, the program resumed with another workshop where all staff reflected on their insights on the president’s message, reaffirming their commitment to continuous improvement and purposeful work habits.
And as the assembly drew to a close, Atty. Antonio ‘Butch’ Jamon Jr., Corporate Secretary/Compliance Officer, delivered his heartfelt remarks, “We are not ordinary employees; every one of us is a steward and a helper in the kingdom of God, making Jesus known all over the nation. We have been given the privilege of showing them that through LIGHT MFI, they may know that God is alive.”
In a symbolic gesture of commitment, Ptra. Edith Pineda, Corporate Treasurer, led all LIGHT staff nationwide in a moment of personal dedication to the Lord’s work, emphasizing the importance of values and spiritual foundation.
The LIGHT General Assembly 2024 stands as a testament to the organization’s resilience, innovation, and unwavering commitment to unity and purpose. As we move towards a brighter future, may we remain steadfast in our pursuit of excellence, guided by our shared vision, and led by the unshakeable love of God.
