Upskilling and Reskilling: LIGHT MFI Employee Benefits Awareness

On February 27, 2026, LIGHT Microfinance, Inc. conducted a series of Upskilling and Reskilling Sessions aimed at deepening employees’ understanding of essential benefit programs. The discussions were held both onsite and through a nationwide simulcast, allowing all LIGHT branches to participate.

One of the key sessions was the Plan Benefit Orientation conducted by Pioneer Insurance, Inc.. The orientation was led by resource speaker Joseph Edward P. David, who clearly and practically explained the benefits and coverage of Pioneer Life Insurance. Through this discussion, participants gained valuable insights into how insurance plans serve as protection and provide long-term security for individuals and their families. The session emphasized the importance of being informed and prepared, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to continuous learning and employee development.

On the same day, Pioneer Microinsurance – Makati Office facilitated another Upskilling and Reskilling Session focused on the Plan Benefit Orientation for Part-time Utility Personnel. The discussion covered enrollment procedures, claims processing, and member benefits under the partnership with LIGHT Microfinance, Inc. Area Managers, Branch Managers, and Utility Staff actively participated, strengthening coordination and enhancing service delivery and member support across the organization.

In addition, PhilHealth highlighted its commitment to advancing Universal Health Care during its orientation with LIGHT Microfinance, Inc. The session underscored the role of social health insurance in promoting accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for all Filipinos. Programs such as primary care benefits and the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan) initiative were discussed to further emphasize the value of health security and preparedness.
