LIGHT (Lead with Integrity and Good Governance in Helping Communities for Holistic Transformation) Microfinance, Inc., is committed to protect and respect your personal data privacy. We are at the forefront of, not only implementing, but also complying to the Republic Act No. 10173 otherwise known as the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (“Data Privacy Act”).

SERVICE OVERVIEW

LIGHT is a non‐stock, non‐profit organization registered on October 27, 2015, with main office address at Lot1‐A, Greenville Subdivision, San Jose City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Its main purpose is to commit to serving communities by providing access to sustainable and inclusive developmental programs and services by creating an impact through its various financial and non‐financial programs and services, such as its tailor‐fitted microfinance products, disaster preparedness trainings, business recovery programs, health and nutrition programs, scholarship program, and other community development programs.

  • Personal contact information which includes your name, address, email address, phone number, or any other information that would allow LIGHT to contact you;
  • Personal contact information of your immediate family members, for certain services or programs;
  • Permits, license and business registrations;
  • Sensitive personal information which includes your gender, date of birth, age, civil status, nationality, educational attainment, etc.;
  • Financial or payment information;
  • Feedbacks, including the information that you share with LIGHT such as your opinions or comments to our Products/Programs/Services and voice recordings when you reach us via our Hotline Number;
  • Telephone conversation recordings though our Client Feedback Mechanism System; and
  • CCTV footage for security purposes.
  • By filling up the application forms, agreements, and other similar or related documents;
  • By answering LIGHT feedback forms and surveys;
  • By sending documents to LIGHT website;
  • By Footage from our CCTV Cameras;
  • By getting in touch with our customer service representatives to inquire, file a complaint or request for service;

LIGHT may use your personal information for various purposes, including but not limited to:

  • evaluating and/or processing your loan applications or transactions;
  • addressing your inquiries, concerns or complaints, and providing product and/or service-related support;
  • profiling, data analyzing, market research, marketing;
  • conducting studies and researches to develop new or improve our existing products and services;
  • performing activities that you have consented to; and
  • performing such other activities permitted by law.

All collected personal information and/or sensitive personal information shall be kept, processed, updated, and properly managed and disposed for as long necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, and such other purposes that you may have consented to from time to time, or as required by pertinent laws and regulations.

To ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of your personal information, LIGHT maintains, enforces and implements organizational, physical, technical, electronic and procedural security measures:

  • Maintaining reasonable safeguards to protect the personal information of Partner-Clients and staff;
  • Sending and transmitting of all information through HTTPS protocol, protected by a secured server;
  • Conducting regular audits to ensure that the personal information is secured, and the security controls are effective;
  • Restricting access only to authorized personnel who handle your information with strict confidentiality;
  • Establishing confidentiality agreements with contracted parties who receive, process, and store personal information about you; and
  • Implementing other security, organizational, and physical measures that we may introduce in the future to further strengthen the protection and security of your personal information.

LIGHT uses this information as is to process the membership/loan application, to avail the financial and non-financial services of the organization, and make sure that the social responsibilities of our staff are delivered.

All information will be sent and transmitted through HTTPS protocol, and protected by a secured server.

LIGHT may share your personal information with our partners, affiliates and third parties, under an obligation of confidentiality.

LIGHT will not share your personal information with third parties, unless necessary, for the above-mentioned purposes and unless you have given your corresponding consent. Third Parties may include insurance providers and other like-minded institutions. They are required to use the personal information we share with them only to perform services on our behalf and to treat your personal information in compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.

In relation with the Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012, LIGHT upholds your right in relation to your personal information.
